On Sunday, November 15th, I held an online workshop on YouTube. Rather than a Zoom chat, this was done as a live streaming YouTube event. The replay is now available on my YouTube Channel: YouTube.com/digitalwoodworking. The topic was a Q&A and I showed a new all-in-one custom CNC spoilboard bed dedicated to positioning, registering and holding flat materials like plywood and MDF. Also, a peek at my new Maker Workstation.

And, I apologize for the poor video quality. Limited bandwidth options where I live makes broadcasts challenging. Next time I’ll try another connection method.

During the October 4th, 2020 Sunday Workshop, a couple of folks requested links to the 3D printable models used to make various clamps and other components for the new workbench including the new Rockler porable drill guide I demonstrated. The links are below.

Unlike earlier workshops, the October 4th recording won’t be posted on YouTube. Instead, I’ll create new videos and follow up blog posts on the Maker Workstation details at a future date.

However, if you resize X and Y to 95% in your slicer, the dogs will fit .750″ dog holes just fine. Planing stops or corner stops are spaced to 96mm and will not fit the MWS 4″grid.

At some point in this online world, you face the reality that you have to do videos. If for nothing more then to explain complex subject matter better. And so, for better or worse I started to post videos on YouTube. I do promise to get better. Really.

First up, is a review of a great small shop size CNC machine: The Laguna IQ. I’ve been putting this to work for a few weeks and have found it to be solid, accurate, spec’d well, nicely engineered and well built CNC.

Check out the channel and be sure to subscribe.
